Yes you read that title correctly – I’m off to Rome tomorrow to be a panellist at Amnesty International’s ICM! (International Council Meeting)
Amnesty contacted me through Inclusion London as they were looking for someone under 25 to speak about disability related issues. I could not believe that I was being offered this amazing opportunity to raise the profile of disabled issues in the UK and go to a city I’ve always wanted to visit. Amnesty are looking to become more involved in disabled rights in the future so this is a great first step towards becoming more aware of the issues people with disabilities face everyday.
