Trailblazers attend event on online abuse at Parliament

In February I attended an event at Parliament to discuss online abuse of disabled people. I started my activism career online so I am no stranger to negative posts and comments. This meeting was a chance to speak directly to MPs about the experiences disabled people encounter when trying to report online abuse. The rules set by social media companies are lacking when it comes to reporting hate speech relating to disability so I was keen to make the most of the opportunity to change that.

Muscular Dystrophy UK have held a campaign to get Twitter change their tools of reporting online disability hate speech so I highly recommend you check it out and support the campaign.
